About travelfortaste

travelfortaste is a food-first travel planner. We help people travelling to a new city decide where to eat, when to eat, and which guided food experiences are worth booking.

How the site works

Each city page is anchored on a structured table of real, bookable food tours, sourced live from our partners Viator and GetYourGuide via the affiliate aggregator Travelpayouts. Prices and ratings come from the partner’s data feed and refresh hourly. We never invent tours that don’t exist.

The itinerary tool composes multi-day food plans using an AI model (Anthropic’s Claude Haiku) over real restaurants and real tours we’ve already retrieved. The AI doesn’t invent venues — it picks from a list we’ve grounded in Google Places and partner inventory.

How we make money

When you click “Book on Viator” or “Book on GetYourGuide” on any page here and complete a booking with that partner, we earn a small commission. This doesn’t cost you anything extra. Our tour ranking is based on partner rating and review count, not commission rate. See the full disclosure.

We also sell a $7 PDF export of any itinerary, and a $3/month subscription for unlimited itinerary generations — both as alternatives to the affiliate model for people who prefer to pay directly.
